The Los Angeles Chargers have some solid options in the 2018 NFL Draft. Take a look at five first-round targets they should consider in April.

What a crazy season it was for the Los Angeles Chargers, as they finished the season winning 9 of their last 12 games after starting the season 0-4. For a team with a rookie head coach and a new defensive coordinator, it was pretty darn impressive to see how well they handled the early-season adversity.

However, even though the Bolts found a way to get back into the AFC Playoff mix by year’s end, it’s clear they still need more talent to solidify their chances of winning the AFC West in 2018.

Thanks to how Los Angeles finished the 2017 season, they currently hold the 17th spot in the 2018 NFL Draft. While that isn’t exactly a great spot to draft one of the elite players coming out this year, they’re still in good position to fill some needs.

That said, take a look at the Chargers 2018 draft needs, courtesy of Lance Zierlein from the NFL’s official website:

"Top needs: OT, QB, LB The skinny: The Chargers need to find Philip Rivers‘ future successor and this might be the year to do it. While the defense has some blue-chip talent, the offensive line does not. The Chargers could look to find a rangy inside linebacker to fortify the defense."

It’s clear the Chargers need some big pieces in order to become the championship team they aspire to be. Take a look at five players they should consider in the first round.
