Blake Bortles is leading the Jacksonville Jaguars into the second round of the AFC playoffs. Ever wonder how he compares to Super Bowl winning quarterbacks?

The Jacksonville Jaguars are advancing farther, in the playoffs, than anyone could have ever imagined. Defensively, there are very few teams that are better than Jacksonville. However, Blake Bortles is winning games but is receiving criticism.

Michael DiRocco of ESPN’s.com reports the latest volley of disrespect:

"(Kevin) Byard, … told The Tennessean newspaper that he wants to make New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady “look like Blake Bortles” when the Titans play the Patriots on Saturday in the other AFC divisional playoff."

DiRocco also gives Bortles response:

"“It’ll probably never stop,” Bortles said. “There’s people that think LeBron James sucks, so if that happens I’m sure there will be a lot of people that always think I suck.”"

Is that a fair criticism of the season that Bortles and the Jaguars are having? Seems like Bortles could catch a break due to his playoff run, so far. How was Bortles this past season statistically? Bortles completed 315 passes for 3687 yards with 21 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. His completion percentage of his passes was 60.2 percent. He finished the season with an 84.7 quarterback rating.

Ever wondered how Bortles’ statistics compare to Super Bowl winning quarterbacks? We know they won a Super Bowl but what were their season statistics better than Bortles? Here’s a look.

Joe Montana won four Super Bowls for San Francisco. In 1984, Montana completed 279 passes for 3,630 yards with 28 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He was in his sixth pro season. Troy Aikman won three Super Bowls for the Dallas Cowboys. In 1993, his fifth season, Aikman completed 271 passes for 3,100 yards with 15 touchdowns and six interceptions. He did miss two games that season.

Tom Brady is a five-time Super Bowl winning quarterback. In 2004, his fifth season in New England, he threw for 3,692 yards on 288 pass completions with 28 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.
