After losing to the Vikings in Week 1, the New Orleans Saints went on to have tremendous success, but they need to avoid these mistakes again.

It’s like déjà vu that the New Orleans Saints and the Minnesota Vikings are meeting in the Divisional Round of the 2018 NFL Playoffs. After meeting in their regular season matchup, both teams have gone on to have great success. While the Vikings have been more successful, they have both changed for the better.

In Week 1, the game fell in the Vikings favor. Some say it was bad luck by the Saints, but there were a lot of costly mistakes made. Since then, the Saints seemed to have righted the ship and look to avenge Week 1 on Sunday. That being said, there are a few necessary changes the Saints need to make.

The Saints almost lost to the Panthers last week and notched only five losses in the regular season with two in the first two weeks of the season. Even their last regular season game against the Bucs was a loss. Even so, the Saints have proved they are great under pressure and have overcome a lot.

This game is easily their most important one of the year and will make-or-break Drew Brees’ chance at winning another Super Bowl. At almost 40, Brees likely doesn’t have a lot of time left so these are 3 mistakes the Saints cannot afford to make against the Vikings this time.
