1. The 2017 Vikings could be a team of destiny

If you haven’t already tried to pinch yourself, please take a moment and do so. For an ending that still seems too impossible to be true, I can confirm the Vikings did indeed beat the Saints with a 61-yard touchdown reception from Stefon Diggs at-the-buzzer.

For a matter of moments, the world of social media was going crazy, thinking Will Lutz had just sent New Orleans to the NFC Championship Game. Not only would that’ve ended the Vikings season, but it would’ve also ended Minnesota’s chances of playing at home in Super Bowl LII.

As we all know, this 2017 Vikings football team would not be denied; however, the bigger question is if Minnesota is destined to win the Super Bowl this year? We’ve seen some crazy things happen in this league, but never have we seen a defensive-collapse such as this. It’s literally crazy enough to start believing in fate. If not fate, then something of a higher-power.

Now, with a date against the Philadelphia Eagles next weekend for the conference title, we’ll have to see if fate still rests on the side of Mike Zimmer’s squad. If they do indeed survive the tundra of Lincoln Financial Field, the AFC representative in Super Bowl LII better watch out.
