3. Danny Amendola is a big-time weapon

Say what you want about wide receiver Danny Amendola and his regular-season performances in recent years. In the postseason, he is money and he showed that tonight. In the 2017 campaign, he caught 61 passes for 659 yards and two touchdowns. All things considered, those are decent numbers, especially when you consider how deep the Patriots are at the receiver position. He won’t exactly “wow” you with his athletic talent, but he is tough and dependable. That is something head coach Bill Belichick loves in a player.

Saturday night, Amendola seemed to be in the right place at all times. He caught 11 passes for 112 yards, averaging a first down per catch. He was Brady’s security blanket for the night, and he ended up playing a big factor in the game. New England is one of those teams that can beat you in multiple ways with multiple weapons. If you take away one weapon, than you leave yourself vulnerable to getting burned by another.

Amendola is in line to have another big game next Sunday. He is known for being a clutch postseason performer and a difficult player to bring down in open space. Whether it be the Jaguars or the Titans, they will have their hands full.
