The Atlanta Falcons learned they’re still a few pieces away from becoming Super Bowl Champions. Here are some projections for their 2018 NFL Draft.
It wasn’t the result the Atlanta Falcons were hoping for, but going 10-6 with a trip to the NFC Playoffs isn’t too shabby if you ask me. Still, anyone around the Atlanta franchise will tell you finishing with anything less than a Lombardi Trophy isn’t good enough anymore. However, with another strong offseason, the Dirty Birds could be playing for a championship next February.
Since Dan Quinn arrived in Atlanta, the Falcons front-office has done a great job of bringing in talent to fit their specific system, which is a huge reason why this team has won three playoff games in the last three seasons. Needless to say, in order to continue moving forward, Atlanta needs to continue hitting home-runs in the draft.
Players like Deion Jones, Keanu Neal, DeVondre Campbell, Takk McKinley and the undrafted Brian Poole have all been guys Quinn was able to identify coming out of college. They may not have been high picks on other team’s draft boards, but the Falcons didn’t care about that nonsense.
Quinn has instilled a confidence in the fanbase and organization with his eye for talent, which is why everyone needs to trust the process again this summer. That said, take a look at six players the Falcons should consider with their picks in the 2018 NFL Draft.
