Chicago Bears: 3 Players who will benefit from new coaching staff
The new Chicago Bears should garner a lot of help for quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, but there are a few other players they will help as well.
The Chicago Bears moved quickly to try to reverse the failures of the past few seasons. They fired head coach John Fox the day after the season finale then searched wide to interview a number of candidates and found a replacement within a week. Matt Nagy became the choice. They weren’t finished yet.
Within a few days of Nagy’s hiring, they hired the assistants. They now have a full staff ready to work on making the Bears relevant again.
The hiring of Nagy and offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich seems to indicate that general manager Ryan Pace and the Bears’ front office want to do their all to help quarterback Mitch Trubisky. They view him as a player who can lead the Bears into the playoffs and beyond. They want to do everything they can to give him what he needs to succeed.
This is great, but the new coaching staff helps other players as well.
There are some players on offense who need a little coaching in order to have good years. These players showed flashes of good play but were grossly underused in 2017. They could break out in 2018. Also, the running game can get even better with the help of some of the new coaches. So let’s see which players look to improve with this new coaching staff.
