Josh Adams wasn’t just your typical power back. He not only ran over people; he ran by them on his way to where he wanted to go, which was the end zone. The Giants need a running back to complement Orleans Darkwa, and he’s the man for the job.

In order for the Giants to start building a brand of success, they’re going to need to start establishing the run a lot more. They dropped back to pass 650 times in 2018. In comparison, they only ran the ball 394 times, which was 25th in the league, and they were one of eight team to have fewer than 400 rushing attempts on the season. Consequently, none of the eight are in the playoffs, while seven of the top 12 teams in rushing attempts (including each of the top four) are playoff teams.

Adams has a good combination of late speed and power, with seven runs of 60 runs of 60+ yards and 948 yards after contact in 2017. He had 1,337 yards on the season, and that’s with missing 13 quarters of play and only 17 carries in the fourth quarter all season. Adams is a special player and perfect for the New Jersey climate as the season gets colder.
