5. Zach Ertz will be a non-factor in the Eagles passing attack

Zach Ertz is the best NFL tight-end that literally no one talks about. He’s been a key factor for an Eagles offense that’s been improving each season Carson Wentz has been under center. With a huge opportunity to win the NFC title this weekend, the Eagles need Ertz to have his best game of the season.

Unfortunately for Philly, I don’t believe Ertz is going to be a factor in the Eagles passing attack this weekend, as his match-up against the Vikings is definitely tough.

Minnesota’s secondary has not only been great this season, but they shut-down Ertz in their 2016 meeting with Philadelphia. According to ESPN, Ertz only recorded one reception for 14 yards in the Vikings’ 21-0 loss last season. So if there’s some sense of good news for the Eagles, it’s that they were able to beat the Vikings without a big game from their starting tight-end.

However, you need to know this 2017 Minnesota squad is better and far more confident than the team Philly faced in 2016; meaning, they may not be able to afford another quiet day from Ertz this time around.
