Vikings vs. Eagles: Highlights, game tracker from NFC Championship
The Minnesota Vikings faced the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2018 NFC Championship on Sunday, Jan. 21. Here are the highlights from the game.
There’s no real secret that the Minnesota Vikings and Philadelphia Eagles have been the best team in the NFC for much of the 2017 season. With that said, given what each of these rosters look like due to injuries, it’s hard to say that most fans would’ve slotted them into the 2018 NFC Championship. Yet, that’s where these two teams did battle on Sunday.
Carson Wentz looked to be the MVP of the league for much of the 2017 campaign. However, when he suffered a torn ACL in December, many expected the wheels to fall off in a bad way. While Nick Foles hasn’t been great for the Eagles, he’s been good enough playing with a strong run game and stronger defense to get them to this point as the No. 1 seed in the conference.
As for the Vikings, who could’ve predicted that a Case Keenum led team would have the kind of season they have. But this team isn’t constructed like most. Minnesota might have the best defense in the NFL and their offensive weapons are numerous and potent. Thus, they’ve been able to get to this point.
Given the variance at quarterback and much more, this is a matchup that could go either way. Thus, it’s exactly the type of game you want from the NFC Championship.

Without Wentz in the fold, it would have been hard to see the Eagles reaching the NFC Championship Game. Then again, many would have said the same thing about the Vikings with Keenum leading the way. Yet they both made it and offered up quite a potential show for fans in doing so.
