The Green Bay Packers need to add some depth to their roster as they hope to get back to the post season in 2018. Here are 5 free agents that could help.

In years past, the words Green Bay Packers and free agent signing haven’t really gone hand-in-hand. This season though, things could be different.

Green Bay had a change in decision makers as Ted Thompson slid into an advisory role and Brian Gutekunst takes over the job. As for Gutekuns, he was the director of college scouting from 2002-2015 for the Pack and moved to director of player personnel the past two seasons.

Of course, working closely with Thompson since 2002 makes it seem likely that there won’t be a ton of change from how they do business. However, there should be.

After losing starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers to a broken collarbone, Green Bay saw there were more holes on their roster than they realized. They struggled to get wins with Brett Hundley under center and while the draft is the best place to build, a few free agent pick-ups may be necessary to avoid wasting any of A-Rod’s prime.

Should they decide to go that route, here are five underrated guys who are scheduled to hit the open market this offseason that can help.
