The New England Patriots faced the New England Patriots on Feb. 4 in Super Bowl 52. Here are highlights from the biggest game of the season.

It’s the biggest game of the season as the Philadelphia Eagles and the New England Patriots will clash in Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis. Each team made it to the championship game following dominant 13-3 seasons, but their postseason runs were very different.

Regardless of their paths to this game, though, you’d have never known by the way Nick Foles and the Eagles played coming out of the gate. The backup to Carson Wentz was taking shots down the field and his running backs were keeping the offense balanced. As a result, Philly was moving the ball at will early on and their defense was not-breaking even when they bent.

Thus, the Eagles led the Patriots pretty dominantly early in the first half and seemed to fully be in conteol. However, a late New England touchdown in the second quarter pulled them a bit closer and seemed to have them ready to strike out of the gate.

Indeed, that’s when Tom Brady started looking the way of Rob Gronkowski and cutting into the lead. Foles and company seemed to be in-rhythm still, but were unable to keep pace with the Patriots as they began to roll. All of a sudden in the fourth quarter, New England had a 33-32 lead.

That would be when Foles put on his big boy pants. Working in short-yardage with Nelson Agholor, he moved the ball down the field beautifully. Deep in Pats territory, he looked for Zach Ertz to go up by five after a failed two-point conversion.

With that said, there was still time on the clock and Brady waiting his turn. After a long second half foe the Philadelphia defense, though, their pass rush came to play. Brandon Graham stripped Brady and Derek Barnett came up with the fumble, leading to an Eagles field goal and a 41-33 lead.

Brady again got a shot, but it was all for naught as his last-second Hail Mary was incomplete. Subsequently, the Eagles captured their first Super Bowl in franchise history.
