The Jacksonville Jaguars should make a free agency move on Jarvis Landry because he would give Blake Bortles another weapon.

Last March, the Jacksonville Jaguars signed three high caliber free agents. A.J. Bouye, Calais Campbell and Barry Church transformed the Jaguars defense. Expect Jacksonville to address the offense this March during the free agent signing period.

Allen Robinson and Marquise Lee are unrestricted free agents. There is a chance that Robinson will receive the franchise designation tag. Lee struggled through the season by dropping passes. Subsequently, Jacksonville will probably let Lee walk.

Dede Westbrook and Keelan Cole had very good rookie seasons. Once again, Allen Hurns battled injuries and missed several games. Hurns could be a salary cap casualty and would free up $7 million to spend towards a free agent. Who would be the best player to target in the free agent market?

Jarvis Landry is the guy to target. Signing Landry would give Blake Bortles another offensive weapon. First of all, is there a chance that Landry may re-sign with Miami? Currently, it appears that Miami may let him walk. Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald reports:

"“He’s a Dolphin, he was drafted here, he’s been productive,” Tannenbaum said of Landry. “Adam [Gase] has used him and he’s produced and he’s gotten better. As the three of us said, we want sustainability. We want to keep as many of our own players, within reason. Draft and develop them. But you can’t keep them all. That’s part of the system that we all live in.”"

What would Landry bring to the Jaguars? Last season, Landry caught 112 passes for 987 yards with nine touchdowns. Lee, Cole, Hurns and Westbrook combined for nine touchdowns. In two statistic categories, Landry proves his worth. First, 466 of his 987 receiving yards were yards after catch (yac). He is able to make big plays.

60 of his 112 receptions, resulted in first downs for Miami. Over half of his receptions moved the chains. Landry would be the clutch receiver that the Jaguars need. Finally, Jacksonville passed on Landry in the 2014 NFL Draft by selecting Lee. Landry is the better receiver. Lets hope Jacksonville corrects their error and sign him.
