Chicago Bears: 5 Underrated targets in 2018 NFL Free Agency
1. Albert Wilson, WR
Former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Albert Wilson stands out as an obvious free agent target for the Chicago Bears. We talked about their immediate need for multiple wide receivers earlier in this piece. Wilson’s experience in Nagy’s offense would make him a ready-made contributor for this team.
Wilson has spent the first four years of his career with the Chiefs, becoming a solid contributor in the offense. His best year came last season, when Wilson finished the year with 42 receptions for 554 yards and three touchdowns. He proved to be a true weapon for the team in the slot, showcasing impressive quickness and route running ability that allowed him to make plays all over the field.
Nagy and the Chiefs did a great job of getting Wilson the ball in open space, where he would use his quickness and change of direction speed to make plays after the catch. The Chiefs commonly used Wilson in the screen game and got him open using underneath crossing routes.

Simply put, Wilson is a talented receiver who shows the ability to consistently make plays out of the slot. His lack of size limits his long-term upside, but he has immense upside in his specific role. Add in his familiarity with Nagy and the Bears’ new offense and it is easy to see why Wilson is a fit.
I fully expect the Chicago Bears to make Wilson a primary free agent target this offseason.
