3. A franchise changing running back

We’ve seen what Ezekiel Elliott means to the Dallas Cowboys. Well, Saquon Barkley could be that special. He a better pass catcher than Elliott, and he is much quicker to the second gear than Elliott.

Even if they don’t use a first round pick on a running back, it’s a good class. They could find one with the No. 34 pick. They need a running back, though, because, even though he was a rookie, Orleans Darkwa doesn’t appear to be the answer. They need a guy who can play on all three downs, and he’s not that guy.

2. The offensive line

If they can’t protect the quarterback or open holes for a running back, there’s really no use in getting a franchise quarterback or a game-changing running back. They need a complete overhaul on the offensive line, and this draft is ripe with guys at the top of Rounds 1 and 2 that the Giants could focus on.

The Giants offensive line is more of a mess than the one of team that shares their stadium, and that’s saying a lot. They need a lot of pieces, and they won’t be able to get them in free agency. So, they will need to in the 2018 NFL Draft.
