The New York Jets have a lot of holes to fill, and they want to build through the draft. So, they will have to target some key positions in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Purgatory is defined by the Roman Catholic Church as a place of spiritual cleansing on the way to Heaven. The New York Jets seemingly are in football Purgatory on a regular basis. They hope the roster purge of 2017 was the end of their time in Purgatory, and they’re on their way to football Heaven.

The proper way to build a team is to get the right pieces in place, and then find your franchise quarterback. For some reason, many people think the Jets need to draft their franchise quarterback in 2018, because they’re in such a rush for a quick-fix to a title. It doesn’t work that way, though.

Not many quarterbacks have the ability of Tom Brady. Not many can take average talent and have them rise to the occasion. Frankly, I believe that it’s not only the talent of Tom Brady that makes the “average” talent on the New England offense better, but the fact that they fit the New England system, but that neither here nor there.

Let’s see what piece the Jets need before they hit the free agency period.
