2018 NFL Mock Draft: The Combine will shake everything up
The NFL Combine testing is about to make everyone form drastic opinions, but before that happens, we get into a new 2018 NFL Mock Draft.
Scouts, coaches, front office members, the media and, of course, NFL hopefuls are all in Indianapolis, IN this weekend for the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine. The measurements began on Wednesday and will continue with some minor workouts on Thursday. Then comes the main event, the testing, on the weekend starting on Friday. Thus, it sounds like time for one last 2018 NFL Mock Draft.
Look, everyone thinks they have their opinions about players right now and that they’ve watched enough film to have a good idea of what’s going on. And people can say that the NFL Combine won’t change things in every NFL Mock Draft going forward, but it will.
If Donte Jackson, the cornerback from LSU, does run a sub-4.3-second 40-yard dash, he’s going to move up boards. Speed kills and it also blinds. The same can be said for guys who could crush other parts of the athletic testing. That’s just the way this works. Thus, it makes sense to gather ourselves and look how things stand prior to those numbers start making everyone freak out.
So that’s where we stand. We could go the normal route of diving deeply into each pick and prospect that we discuss. However, this is going to be quick and dirty, looking at needs and the players that can fit those needs in the first round.
Let’s get to it with the final 2018 NFL Mock Draft before the Combine testing.
