After putting on a show at the 2018 NFL Combine, here are seven surprise teams that should consider selecting Lamar Jackson in the first round come April.

While there was some talk surrounding the possibility of making the switch to wide receiver, Lamar Jackson made it clear this weekend at the 2018 NFL Combine in Indianapolis that he intends to play quarterback in the big leagues. Just like every other player entering this year’s NFL Draft, there are obviously some concerns surrounding the Louisville product that need to be addressed in good time, but overall, the potential for Jackson to succeed in the NFL seems very high since he’s proven to be effective as both a passer and running, meaning there will be plenty of teams expressing interest next month.

From the Cleveland Browns to the Denver Broncos, there will be a handful of teams looking to improve at the quarterback position from now until the start of training camp, although most teams are unsure of whether it will happen through free agency or the upcoming draft. And while there are the obvious teams like the Browns and Broncos who will take the possibility of bringing Jackson on board into consideration along with the other quarterback from this year’s class, there could also be a few unexpected teams who consider him as well.
