NFL Free Agency 2018: One move each team should make
Washington Redskins: Re-Sign ILB Zach Brown
The Washington Redskins were able to retain Zach Brown on a one-year contract last offseason that was worth around $4.5 million. That contract proved to be a steal as Brown played at an extremely high level for the Redskins, making plays in the middle of their defense.
Brown will hit NFL free agency again this offseason and expects to receive a lot of interest on the open market. The Redskins will have to invest more in Brown this time around, but they simply cannot let him get away.
Brown was an outstanding run defender for Washington last season, showing the ability to make plays on the inside and range from sideline-to-sideline. He is a fast and athletic linebacker who shows a versatile skill set at the position. In today’s NFL teams are looking for versatile linebackers who can defend the run, rush the passer and play coverage at a high level. Brown’s speed and athleticism allow him to do all three extremely well.
