The Dallas Cowboys have tough decisions to make in re-signing free agents this offseason, and though some will be leaving the franchise, there are five who the Cowboys should re-sign and bring back to the team for the 2018 season.

Sometimes it takes more than a season or two for a player to really make their mark with a franchise. A lot comes down to how healthy a player is, whether or not a player is able to stay away from being suspended or if a player does a job so well he’s never really even remembered for being on the team.

That is the case for three players on the upcoming list of Dallas Cowboys whom they should re-sign to the franchise in either a short-term or long-term deal, or possibly a franchise tag. The list includes players who can make a big difference on the field and a player who does his job on a consistent basis, so there is no reason to make a change that could bring issues down the line during big and small moments in a game

More from Dallas Cowboys

Last year, the Cowboys signed four free agents back to the roster, with those players being Terrance Williams, Justin Durant, Darren McFadden and Kellen Moore. Of those players, McFadden is no longer with the franchise, and Moore has since been named the new quarterbacks coach for the 2018 season.

Re-signing a player doesn’t make or break a roster, but there is the chance like last season where re-signing a player doesn’t bring a big wow factor but can keep some consistency to a roster.

Listed are three players who the Cowboys should or at least consider re-signing this offseason in free agency, as they currently have 12 players listed as unrestricted free agents.
