3. Sebastian Janikowski

Once again, we’re about to see a kicker carousel for the Chargers in 2018. With Nick Novak set to hit free agency, Los Angeles needs to let him test the market and bring in a more experienced kicker instead. The difference between making the AFC Playoffs and sitting at home was a small one for the Bolts in 2017, which can be ultimately attributed to a poor kicking game.

If Los Angeles is serious about winning the AFC West and hosting a home playoff game in 2018, they must find a solid kicker. This roster is too darn good to watch missed field goals, week after week, cost them victories. The time to find a reliable kicker is now.

Needless to say, I believe their main target should be Sebastian Janikowski. That’s right, the guy who played 17 years for that team in the silver and black.

What better feeling would there be to know the Raiders cut their longtime kicker, only to see him winning close football games for the Bolts? Not to mention, if one of those game-winning kicks came against Oakland, that would be icing on the cake.
