The Atlanta Falcons have some great players to choose from in free agency; however, there are five specific players who they must avoid at all costs.

The Atlanta Falcons have some tough decisions to make over the next few weeks, as the 2018 NFL Free Agency period begins in a few days. With a ton of big-name players set to hit the market, there will be a ton of intrigue as to where these superstars will land. While I’d love to see some former All-Pro players wind up in Atlanta, I don’t think it’s likely to happen.

For football fans who dream of this time of the year, trust me, I understand where you’re coming from. It’s awesome to brainstorm what it would be like to have certain players on your favorite team; however, as we’ve learned, it doesn’t always end up as great as we think it will.

Over the years, there have been many players who I thought would come to Atlanta and take them to a title. Not only did those free agents prove to be busts, but they actually hurt the team’s future because of their contracts.

It’s a tough lesson for both teams and fans to learn alike, but it’s one both parties won’t soon forget. Needless to say, I believe the Falcons have finally learned their lesson when it comes to these “avoid at all costs” players.

With that said, take a look at five specific players, who I believe, Atlanta needs to avoid signing this offseason.
