Free agency opens this week and the Washington Redskins must keep a few of their own players before spending big on outside talent.

The Washington Redskins have a massive list of free agents as the 2018 league year is set to begin. Players such as Kirk Cousins, Zach Brown, Bashaud Breeland, Terrelle Pryor, Spencer Long, Ryan Grant, Niles Paul, Junior Galette and Trent Murphy are among those set to hit unrestricted free agency.

We know Cousins isn’t coming back. That chapter is over. And based on his comments via Twitter week, Paul’s seven years in Washington is up, too.

Pryor isn’t coming back. The Redskins were ready to turn the page on him during last season. The team needs an upgrade at wide receiver and realize he isn’t a part of the solution. Washington will be active in free agency to bring an upgrade at receiver alongside Josh Doctson and Jamison Crowder.

The Redskins do have several other free agents they’d like to keep. Brown is chief among them, while Grant, a role player, is a longtime favorite of the coaching staff, especially head coach Jay Gruden. Murphy is a former second-round pick coming off knee surgery, while Long, a former third-round pick, also missed time in 2017 due to knee injuries.

Which of these players will return to Washington? Here are four free agents the Redskins should prioritize this week.
