Last summer, the Los Angeles Rams acquired wide receiver Sammy Watkins from the Buffalo Bills and he proved to be a worthwhile addition. The fourth overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft finished fourth on the club with only 39 receptions but led Sean McVay’s club with eight touchdown receptions. Watkins also averaged an impressive 15.3 yards per reception for a Rams’ squad that led the NFL with 478 points.

But via NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport early Tuesday morning, the four-year pro is headed to Kansas City. Rapoport reports that the big-play target has agreed to a three-year deal for a reported $48 million. The move will become official on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m. ET when the NFL’s 99th fiscal year begins.

So what do the Rams do to fill the void? It’s not like the club doesn’t have its share of talent at the wideout spot. Robert Woods, Watkins’ one-time teammate in Buffalo, spearheads a group that includes Pharoh Cooper, 2017 rookies Cooper Kupp and Josh Reynolds, Mike Thomas and five-year pro Tavon Austin (who has been the subject of some trade rumors).

The Arizona Cardinals will apparently let wide receiver John Brown test free agency. In four season, he’s caught 173 passes for 2,515 yards and 17 scores. He was limited to only 10 contests this past year. In 2015, he caught 65 balls for 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns. Which version will we see in 2018?
