New England Patriots: 7-Round 2018 mock draft in mid-March
Find out how the New England Patriots can capitalize on their current championship window while also building for the future in this complete seven-round 2018 NFL mock draft.
Make no mistake about it, as long as Bill Belichick and Tom Brady are around, the New England Patriots are going to be Super Bowl contenders. That being said, their current championship window gets smaller each year that goes by.
The Patriots undoubtedly have a talented roster that will allow them to compete at a high level next season. That being said, they need to do everything that they can to improve the roster, taking advantage of what will likely be one of Brady and Belichick’s final years together. This incredible run can end at any time, so now is the time to make the most of it.
Unfortunately, the Pats will not have much cap space to work with this offseason. Sure, they know how to create cap space from seemingly out of nowhere, but the Pats are not going to be able to make many significant additions in free agency this offseason. Instead, the bulk of their improvement will have to come through the 2018 NFL Draft.
It is never easy to predict what the New England Patriots will do. Belichick is extremely creative when it comes to acquiring talent, making his free agent moves and draft picks difficult to figure out ahead of time. That being said, I am going to do my best.
In this post, I will try to think like Bill Belichick in the 2018 NFL Draft, acquiring talent to give the Patriots an immediate roster while also keeping an eye on the future. Here is a complete seven-round 2018 NFL mock draft for the New England Patriots.
