Andrew Norwell looks to become the newest member of the Jacksonville Jaguars  as the free agent signings become official.

As other NFL teams are in the market for their next quarterback, the Jacksonville Jaguars added an offensive lineman. Jacksonville will sign Andrew Norwell to become their next left guard. This addition will definitely make the offensive line better.

Although the Jaguars led the NFL in rushing, there were times that Leonard Fournette got stuffed.  Jacksonville.com reports Doug Marrone thoughts on the rushing offense:

"“The run game, there were points we felt very good about it, but there were some points that we weren’t able to [establish the run],” coach Doug Marrone said last month. “We still want to progress. We still want to get better. It can be said best — ‘Hey, you guys were No. 1 in the league, but at times …’ That’s what we saw and that’s what we’ve looked at.”"

Norwell is a huge physical presence at left guard. He stands six foot six tall weighing 316 pounds. Norwell was named first team All-Pro in 2017.

NFL.com reports the contract details:

"… Andrew Norwell is expected to sign with the Jaguars, … The deal is set to count five years and $66.5 million, with $30 million fully guaranteed."

Since Patrick Omameh, the left guard in 2017, is a free agent, the Jaguars have upgraded by signing Norwell. Pro Football Focus described the play of Norwell in 2017:

"Norwell didn’t allow a sack or a hit on the quarterback all season long and surrendered just 13 total pressures over a full season of pass protection."

The Jaguars have solidified the left side of the offensive line. Most of all, the rushing attack will get a boost. As a result, Blake Bortles will be protected in the pocket by the Bold City Blockade.
