The Cleveland Browns acquired Jarvis Landry and Tyrod Taylor, even before free agency. With an up and coming defense, the Browns can be playoff contenders.

The Cleveland Browns new general manager John Dorsey is making headlines by trading for not one, but two players who could really turn things around, Jarvis Landry and Tyrod Taylor. With free agency and the draft just around the corner, the Browns can make the moves that will force teams to take them seriously.

In what has been a confusing yet busy few days in the NFL the Cleveland Browns have caught trading fever. The first shocking trade was acquiring veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor from the Bills. The second was the Dolphins gift wrapping the three-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Jarvis Landry. But the Browns were not done, after the acquisition of Taylor, the Browns quickly traded their 2017 second-round pick, DeShone Kizer to the Packers.

Additionally, the Browns also traded for Damarious Randall in the Kizer deal. What’s more, they signed Carlos Hyde in free agency, in addition to another of other signings. And though they lost perennial All-Pro left tackle Joe Thomas to retirement, there is a lot of hope about this team.

With a defensive front that showed promise (despite its low rank) and the addition of Landry and Taylor, the Browns are on the brink of moving away from obscurity to playoff contention. In the 2018 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns can win now and build for the future, here’s how.
