Power Forward- Jesse James

Fitting more true to his position than our previous pick, Jesse James fits the type of power forward mold as an athletic big man. James, who was twice a second-team all-state selection in basketball, knows what it takes to make a difference on the hardwood. James, who has proven his abilities to jump up and get footballs, can also help protect the paint and grab rebounds as well.

James, standing at 6-7 and weighing 261 pounds, stands in similar stature to players such as Draymond Green, Paul Millsap, Gordon Hayward and Kawhi Leonard. Could similar production ensue? That’s certainly the hope. However with the offensive team built around James, it’s likely he wouldn’t be asked to play to all-star caliber levels.

A double-double would be more than enough asked out of James, a player who is big enough to hold his own down low against what would likely be the Rob Gronkowski’s of the league but could also get up and down the floor in transition, allowing for any type of tempo Roethlisberger would like to run (likely a slow one).

Much like Dupree, no footage exists of James dominating on the floor. Yet with his previous success, the Steelers should find themselves pleasantly surprised with what Jesse brings to the table. Imagine him catching alley-oops from Roethlisberger in the closing seconds to win a game, what could possibly go wrong?
