1. Jarrett Stidham, QB, Auburn

Stidham is listed by Auburn at 6-3, 214 pounds. So he’s not as big as Josh Allen, but he ‘s big enough for the NFL. In limited action in 2015, Stidham completed 68.8 percent of his passes with 12 touchdowns and two interceptions in a quarterback-friendly system at Baylor. Then the scandal broke at Baylor and Stidham transferred to a community college that didn’t have a football program.

After a year away from football, he chose to go to Auburn, and another system that is good for quarterbacks, albeit not as friendly as the Baylor offense. Even against the defenses of the SEC, he completed 66.8 percent of his throws, with 18 touchdowns and only six interceptions. He added four rushing touchdowns as well in 2017.

When asked to throw the ball deep, he did well too. On passes 20 or more yards in the air, he had a passer rating of 120.5, which was 26.1 points ahead of Josh Allen and only 14.3 points behind Baker Mayfield. Stidham may not have been ready for the NFL in 2018, but another year like he had in 2017, and he will undoubtedly be worthy of a first round pick. He’s definitely worth the wait over Mayfield and Allen.
