Another weapon for Aaron Rodgers

Arguably the greatest quarterback in the NFL has lost one of his favorite targets in Jordy Nelson. The need for wide receiver may not seem like a pressing one, but Randall Cobb hasn’t lived up to his billing as a legit No. 2 option behind Davante Adams. Adams isn’t a field stretcher and Cobb is more of a slot guy. With Graham coming over from Seattle, you’d think that Mike McCarthy and Joe Philbin will flex him out and allow him to work the middle of the field. So who do the Packers have as a deep threat? They need to get a guy that can average 15-18 yards per catch.

Clemson wide receiver Deon Cain is the perfect player to plug into the Packers offense. While he’ll need some time to develop into a true No. 2, Cain does one thing well, and that’s stretch the field. According to NFL.com draft guru Lance Zierlein, Cain’s speed isn’t the only thing that makes him special.

"“Cain’s routes are smooth, but also show an understanding of coverage. Cain has the pure speed to attack over the top, but he should be a competitive option on all three levels.”"

Some have Cain projected as a third round pick. However, with his route running and excellent 4.43 speed, the Packers would be wise to snatch him up with their second round pick.
