Southern. Danny Johnson. 6. player. 28. . CB

Danny Johnson is an interesting late-round cornerback prospect who has the skills to compete at the next level. He is a fast and athletic corner who shows tremendous natural ball skills. Johnson is also an extremely confident player who plays the game with a ton of swag.

He undoubtedly has the upside to be a strong outside cornerback at the next level and the right attitude to get it done. The Raiders have needs in the secondary and Johnson could be a low-cost contributor right off the bat.

With their final sixth-round compensatory selection, the Oakland Raiders select Northwestern running back Justin Jackson. Jackson was an extremely productive Big Ten back who showed the ability to impact the game in a variety of ways.

He is a relatively quick and elusive player with the ball in his hands who also shows a bit of power. Jackson is a smart runner who knows how to wait for his blocks and find the open hole up front. He is also a smooth receiver out of the backfield who can make an impact in that area at the next level.

Jackson does not bring as much flash and raw upside as Roc Thomas, but he is a consistent player who could bring some nice stability to the Raiders’ backfield.

With their final selection in this mock draft, the Raiders shoot for some upside at the wide receiver position. As we mentioned earlier, they could use some speed to stretch the field at wide receiver, and Daurice Fountain of Northern Iowa could certainly help in that department.

Fountain is an extremely fast and athletic receiver who has a ton of natural upside at the next level. He is a true playmaker with the ball in his hands and can beat opposing defenses with the deep ball. Add in his impressive ball skills, and the Raiders find a receiver who can theoretically beat defenses in a variety of ways at the next level.

Whether he can compete against a high level of competition remains to be seen, but Fountain is an exciting talent who is worth taking a shot on late in the 2018 NFL Draft.
