The first wave of 2018 NFL free agency is over, but there are still plenty of big names the Chicago Bears could spend their $50 million worth of cap space on.

Through the first week of 2018 NFL free agency, the Chicago Bears have been one of the most active and successful teams. They’ve landed a superstar in Allen Robinson and addressed a couple of other needs without completely breaking the bank.

At this moment, the Bears still have plenty of money to spend. Despite already investing heavily on the offensive side of the ball, Spotrac.com shows them with just over $50 million in cap space available. That’s more than enough spending power to make another splash or two.

So who could they theoretically target with this remaining cap space? There are a few big-name free agents still on the market. Although I don’t think general manager Ryan Pace necessarily thinks more splash signings are necessary, it wouldn’t hurt if the Bears have any hope of competing in one of the NFL’s toughest divisions.

That is, unless Chicago wants another forgetable 5-11 finish in 2018.

Assuming that’s not the case, let’s look at five more big names the Bears could target during 2018 NFL free agency. They’ve got cash burning a hole in their pocket, and plenty of talent is still eager to sign on the dotted line. There’s more improvement to be made to this roster, so what are they waiting for?
