Even as the Browns have signed Carlos Hyde and are attempting to negotiate a long term deal with Duke Johnson, they still need running back help. They need a back with franchise tools that can take over game between the tackles the way Duke can everywhere else.

Nick Chubb is one of the most fundamentally sound backs in the class, has an incredible feel for the position in terms of running with his shoulders square and sidestepping opponents to avoid their best shot and keep going forward with momentum.

Chubb is powerful, quick and has regained the speed he showcased before his knee injury. His vision and balance are fantastic. He sets up blocks and manipulates defenders to create openings at a high level, lightning the load on the blocking scheme, making it easier to create plays.

Everything will depend on how the Browns medical staff evaluates Chubb’s knee, but he can be a star in the NFL in a way that fits what the Browns want to do offensively, make life easier on Tyrod Taylor and help ease the transition of their young quarterback for the future.
