The Jaguars failed to re-sign Allen Robinson, who is now a member of the Chicago Bears, this offseason. Sure, the Jags made it to the AFC Championship Game without Robinson, but the Jaguars receiving corps right now consists of Marqise Lee, Allen Hurns, Keelan Cole, Donte Moncrief and Dede Westbrook. Lee and Hurns have proven they have a difficult time staying healthy.

With the addition of All-Pro offensive lineman Andrew Norwell, it’s clear the Jags want to remain a run first team. However, they still need someone to throw to. Insert Southern Methodist wide receiver Courtland Sutton.

In his four years with the Mustangs, Sutton caught 95 balls and amassed over 3,200 yards and 31 touchdowns. The Jags will miss Robinson’s size and ability to go up and catch the football. However, Lance Zierlein of NFL.com sees similar qualities in Sutton. Zierlein says:

"Sutton is a possession receiver who has the size and toughness to handle a heavier target load if necessary.Sutton’s ability to win in contested catch situations could get him early playing time."

Sutton will give quarterback Blake Bortles a big body to throw to especially as tight-end Marcedes Lewis’ career winds down.
