Just a handful of picks after they snagged the steady Kiser, the Los Angeles Rams shoot for a bit more linebacker upside by taking Arizona State’s Christian Sam. Sam is a quick and athletic linebacker who is strong in coverage explodes at the point of attack. He has true three-down upside at the next level and could really grow into a strong playmaker for the Rams.

Scott Quessenberry is a talented offensive line prospect who was a strong contributor at UCLA through the last four years. He is athletic for the center position and shows a strong punch at the point of attack. Quessenberry mirrors extremely well in pass protection and shows some serious upside as a run blocker.

Austin Blythe has proven to be a solid backup center option for the Rams, but Quessenberry would undoubtedly bring more upside to the table. He could come in and immediately provide value as a backup at center and guard and could perhaps take over at a starting position down the line. Not bad for a late sixth-round pick.

The Rams swung for the fences at the cornerback position earlier in the sixth round by taking a chance on Holton Hill. With their final pick in this mock draft, they take a different kind of cornerback prospect.

Tony Brown is a tough and physical cornerback who excels in run support. He was solid in coverage at the college level, but does not have the physical skill set to be a strong coverage corner in the NFL.

Next: Is Jared Goff a one year wonder?

Brown will likely primarily be a special teams option at the next level. A tough and aggressive player who shows fantastic tackling skills, Brown should be a strong contributor on special teams right off the bat. Simply put, his defensive upside is limited, but he has a great chance to star as a special teams maven for the Los Angeles Rams.
