There’s a very good chance the Eagles don’t keep this pick. This is their only selection through the first two days of the draft, limiting their opportunities to improve what’s already a fantastic roster. Odds are they trade down to acquire at least one more pick in the early rounds.

If they do stay here, though, Dallas Goedert seems like a tantalizing target for an offense already bursting with weapons. Following the departure of Trey Burton via free agency, the Eagles could use another weapon at a position Carson Wentz loves to lean on.

If he landed in Philly, Goedert would immediately take over as the No. 2 tight end behind Zach Ertz. Although not a polished blocker, the South Dakota State product is a dangerous option in the passing game who uses his impressive athleticism and imposing frame to create big plays. Even though he hails from an FCS program, Goedert has the physical tools to make an instant impact.

Again, don’t be surprised if it’s another team picking at No. 32. However, if the Eagles do stay put and use the pick, Goedert will absolutely be a consideration. The plan was to go with an offensive tackle, but I don’t see any first-round worthy talents being available at this point in the draft.
