New York Jets: Pros and cons of signing Ndamukong Suh
Cons of the signing
From 2010-14, Suh was a repeat offender of NFL discipline. According to the Detroit Free Press, he lost a total of $404,169 in fines and lost game checks in that time frame. He was fined a total of $216,875 and suspended for a total of three games over two separate suspensions. He’s had two incidents in Miami as well.
According to the website Larry Brown Sports, via Yardbarker, Suh was released by Miami after growing dissent over his on the field tactics.
"Suh is one of the most physically dominant players in football, but there have been rumblings that his teammates were aggravated with his cheap shot antics. Those have been part of Suh’s game for several years, and you can understand why they might wear on players and coaches who see their team punished because of them."
Some consider him a dirty player, and others might just say it’s mind games from Suh. Whichever side of the fence you stand on, repeated behavior like this is a problem. The Jets definitely need to keep this in mind and weight all of this in determining whether or not he’s a fit in the young Jets locker room.
