Final Conclusion

If you want to merely base it on past behavior, then Suh’s signing isn’t worth it. All the talent in the world doesn’t matter in the long-run. The best ability is availability. There’s inherent risk that they sign Suh, and his behavior cost him game(s). The Jets can’t afford that.

They also can’t have dissension in a young locker room. They need all of the young players to be on the same page and not allow in-fighting to destroy the locker room.

On the other had, his talent still speaks for itself, and he can be a disruptive force on the field. The Jets are likely going to draft a young edge rusher in the middle rounds of the draft, and having Suh there can only help the rate of development. It can also help further the development of Williams.

The final conclusion is simple. How much of the antics are they willing to tolerate? How far will his teammates allow him to go before he becomes a problem in the locker room? If the answer is that he can limit the issues and be the disruptive force he’s capable of being, then, there’s no choice but to sign him. Otherwise, the answer is no. It’s up to Suh, but it’ll be hard to show before they sign him. So, the Jets may have to go on their guts.

Conclusion: Signing is a toss-up, and to be determined after, but they probably should sign him
