Jacksonville Jaguars: 7-Round 2018 mock draft post-free agency

The Jacksonville Jaguars addressed some weaknesses through free agent acquisitions. Expect Jacksonville to build depth in the 2018 NFL Draft.

The Jacksonville Jaguars are serious Super Bowl contenders due to drafting well and free agent signings. Dave Caldwell is basically the architect of the roster since 2013. Many are wondering which direction Jacksonville will draft this year.

Caldwell signed Andrew Norwell to address the left guard position. He signed two tight ends and released two others. Two more free agents were added to bolster the special teams unit.

There is a glaring absence at the back-up quarterback spot. Chad Henne left for Kansas City, probably to mentor their young quarterback. Blake Bortles is the only quarterback currently on the Jaguars roster.

Jacksonville will eventually have another quarterback or two to compete with Bortles. The question becomes whether the Jaguars draft one or go the free agent route. In addition, Bortles has been healthy, so far, but no one can predict an season ending injury. Remember the Nick Foles story?

Will Jacksonville stay at the twenty-ninth pick or move? The first round selection should be a clue to their draft strategy. After all, the Jaguars were so close to their first ever Super Bowl appearance.
