With 2018 NFL free agency wrapping up, this latest Pittsburgh Steelers mock draft looks to put a bow on what’s been a quiet offseason for this franchise.

Coming into 2018 NFL free agency, we knew the Pittsburgh Steelers weren’t going to be big-time players. They had a rather rough salary cap situation, and still had moves to make with their own in-house talent. Splashes were sure to be few and far between.

With the festivities quickly coming to close, though, the focus will now turn towards the 2018 NFL Draft. The Steelers currently own six picks to work with, which should be more than enough to solidify what’s already one of the best rosters in the league. But how will those six selections be spent when draft day arrives?

Obviously no one knows for sure. I’m sure even the Steelers front office is fairly clueless on the matter. There’s still a month to go before the draft gets under way, and more information will surely be gathered between now and then. Despite that, I’m going to do my best to mock what the 2018 NFL Draft could have in store for Pittsburgh.

In this scenario, I’m taking a couple of things into consideration. The main thing, though, is need, seeing as this is a mock draft and I don’t necessarily know who’s still going to be available when — thus eliminating the whole “Best Player Available” approach. There are, however, a couple instances where I put value over need.

Now that we’ve got that all cleared up, let’s take a look at my Steelers seven-round mock draft with a month to go before the 2018 NFL Draft. This year’s draft is sure to be a doozy, especially if it plays out anything like what you’re about to read.
