The Dallas Cowboys should be busy in the 2018 NFL Draft, but who are the sleepers that they could target to fill out their roster?

The Dallas Cowboys have been adding to their roster through the draft with many of their first-round picks becoming big players in the ranks of the NFL. Current starters on the roster like wide receiver Dez Bryant (2010), running back Ezekiel Elliott (2016) or offensive linemen Tyron Smith (2011), Zack Martin (2014) and Travis Frederick (2013) all came in as first-rounders, and that is just the offense.

They’ve also had some defensive players on the roster who are first-round picks in defensive back Byron Jones (2015) and defensive end Taco Charlton (2017).

Those players were expected to be productive in a big way for the Cowboys with their high draft number, but what about the players who weren’t first- or second-day selections in the NFL Draft? What about the players who were Day 3 selections picked from the fourth through seventh rounds and even those players who weren’t drafted at all?

The Cowboys have had success with those type of players, too. Former starting quarterback and Cowboys record holder Tony Romo comes to mind as a undrafted free agent that worked out well for the franchise. There are others as well on the 2018 roster in current starting quarterback Dak Prescott (2016) and wide receiver Ryan Switzer (2017), who were both fourth-round selections. Another pick from the 2016 draft, cornerback Anthony Brown, was selected in the sixth round, and those are just a few in recent memory.

This season is now different for the Cowboys in the 2018 NFL Draft as they will sure to be looking for a sleeper in the later rounds of the draft process. In all the Cowboys have 10 picks for this years draft, with seven of those picks being on Day 3 in Rounds 4-7.

With that, there are some needs the Cowboys have that should be fixed during the draft process, but they’ll have to do so in the later rounds. Here are five sleepers who could help make a difference on the Cowboys roster for the 2018 season.
