Jason Cabinda is a big and powerful linebacker prospect who shows tremendous ability against the  run. He is an aggressive player who consistently slashes through the line of scrimmage to make plays in the backfield. Cabinda also plays a physical brand of football, filling the holes and taking opposing ball carriers down with immense power.

In today’s NFL, teams love linebackers who can range around the field and make plays. Unfortunately, this is not going to be a strong part of Cabinda’s game. He is relatively limited athletically and is not much of an asset in pass coverage. He is going to specifically be an early down linebacker, but his ability to make an impact on special teams will help his value to the team at the next level.

At some point in the 2018 NFL Draft, I expect the Oakland Raiders to select a developmental quarterback. Derek Carr obviously has the starting job on lock for the foreseeable future, but I could see Gruden wanting to find a raw quarterback who he can work with to develop into a possible starting option or trade chip. In this mock draft, they take Tanner Lee in the seventh round to be that guy.

Lee shows fantastic natural arm talent, consistently ripping the ball into tight spaces. He throws a pretty deep ball, showing the ability to get proper loft on his passes to lead receivers open down the field. Lee undoubtedly has the arm strength to make any throw on the football field.

While his arm talent is ridiculous, Lee consistently struggles with ball placement. His accuracy is spotty at best and his inability to read opposing defenses is a major concern. The lack of accuracy and inability to read defenses led to many interceptions in college, which is obviously a major issue.

Taking Tanner Lee here would be a complete shot in the dark. However, he has the physical skill set to become an interesting quarterback at the next level. In Lee, Gruden would essentially have a talented ball of clay who he could try to reshape into a valuable asset.
