A thick and powerful offensive lineman who shined on the field at NC State, Will Richardson is an interesting late-round target for the Los Angeles Rams. Richardson was a tackle in college, showing impressive run blocking ability and a pass protection skill set. However, he does not have the ideal athleticism to be able to protect the edge at the next level.

Personally, I see Richardson as an ideal offensive guard at the next level. His combination of power and quickness should translate well to the inside and he would have big upside in the Rams’ offensive attack. The Rams do not have a huge need at guard at the moment, but they could certainly use some depth at the position.

In Tyler Higbee and Gerald Everett, Los Angeles has an interesting mix of players at the tight end position. However, both players are receiving tight ends who do not have much ability as inline blockers. With their second of five sixth-round selections, the Rams find an ideal blocking tight end in Notre Dame’s Durham Smythe.

Smythe is a traditional tight end prospect who absolutely excels as an inline blocker. He shows fantastic ability as a run blocker, showing the ability to handle powerful defensive linemen at the point of attack and reach the second level with ease. He also shows strong pass protection ability for a tight end, moving well and knowing when to chip and help before taking off on a route.

With an impressive combination of size, quickness and athleticism, Smythe has some upside as a receiver at the next level. However, he never produced at a high level as a receiver in college. His blocking skills give Smythe a safe floor, but he does have a bit of upside on top of that.
