47. (Trade with San Francisco 49ers). Defensive End. NC State. Bradley Chubb. 9. player

This time of year, nobody ever really knows what to expect from the New England Patriots when looking at the history of this team making all sorts of random moves, although it always seems to work out since they’re always contenders. In fact, the Patriots recently acquiring a second first rounder after sending Brandin Cooks to the Rams shows this team is always willing to do whatever they feel is necessary to give them the best chance of winning, as this is just another example of how no one other than Tom Brady is safe.

Having two picks in the first round is a huge advantage for a team like New England, and just because they recently acquired the No. 23 pick from Los Angeles doesn’t necessarily mean the team is done trading around just yet. If anything, this puts the Patriots in a much better position to possibly move up again in the first round since they would still have another selection to use at No. 31.

Despite all of the speculation surrounding New England possibly trading up for Brady’s successor, just imagine how much the defense would benefit from a monster like Bradley Chubb. The North Carolina State product is expected to go somewhere in the top 10, and if Chubb happens to slip, would anyone really be surprised if the Patriots considered the move?
