Missing out on the playoffs in each of the last two seasons has been beyond frustrating for the Broncos since the defense looked like one of the best on numerous occasions, but not having the proper quarterback to run the offense has hurt this team in the worst way possible. Unfortunately, the Broncos had to learn the hard way that neither Brock Osweiler or Trevor Siemian were the right answer under center, but hopefully all of that is about to change with Case Keenum.

After the Vikings decided to go for Kirk Cousins in free agency, Keenum found himself in a position where numerous teams were interested in bringing the veteran quarterback on board after helping Minnesota earn a trip to the NFC Championship last January. For most of his career, Keenum was always considered one of those quarterbacks that just couldn’t seem to catch a break when it came to finding a team to stick with, but Denver seems like it’s going to turn out to be a great fit.

Even if the Broncos consider using their first rounder on a quarterback for the down the road since Keenum’s deal is only for two years, focusing on boosting the offensive line shouldn’t be ruled out. Will Hernandez has watched his draft stock rise over the last couple of months with his aggressive style of play, and Keenum would certainly feel a lot more comfortable with the extra protection from the UTEP star.
