The pressure is on the Cincinnati Bengals to get back to their winning ways after missing out on the playoffs for a second year in a row, making the fact that Marvin Lewis is still around as head coach even more of a joke. Most coaches with a 0-7 playoff record would have been sent packing a long time ago, but for some reason the Bengals continue to reward Lewis with extensions he clearly doesn’t deserve.

Even more upsetting, there’s a good chance of Cincinnati keeping Lewis around if the team fails to earn a trip to the postseason for a third year in a row. But before jumping to that conclusion, let’s focus on how the Bengals can take advantage of the talent in this year’s draft class to give them a better chance of competing in the AFC during the 2018 season.

Even though Cincinnati helped fill their need on the offensive line by acquiring Cordy Glenn from Buffalo, it may be in their best interest to consider another player like Orlando Brown in the first round. Football fans can say what they want about the horrendous outing by Brown at the combine in Indianapolis, but a player with his skill set is too good to pass on in the first round, especially when seeing how much the offensive line of the Bengals struggled last season.
