2018 NFL Mock Draft: 10 Big trades create mass chaos
By Dan Parzych
Following a 0-2 start, the New Orleans Saints seemed to be heading towards another year of disappointment, as the team had established the unfortunate reputation for finishing below .500 over the last couple of years. However, the Saints deserve all of the credit in the world for turning their season around when they did by going on to win eight games in a row before eventually clinching the NFC South title.
When looking at all of the expectations surrounding the other three teams in the division, New Orleans was the last team anyone expected to finish on top, and now the pressure is on to make sure they continue playing at this high level heading into 2018. For a team that used to heavily rely on Drew Brees and the offense, it was the defense that actually stepped up the most for the Saints on their way to a playoff run, although the future Hall of Famer certainly came through under center as well.
Watching Brees continue to play at an elite level at his age is truly amazing to witness each season, and New Orleans needs to make sure they continue providing him with the best protection possible. Center was one of the areas the Saints knew they needed to address this offseason, and with Billy Price drawing praise for being one of the best in his class, this scenario almost seems too good to be true.
