2018 NFL Mock Draft: 10 Big trades create mass chaos
By Dan Parzych
Speaking of the team Cousins ended up on, the signing of the former Redskins quarterback has taken expectations to a whole new level during the 2018 season for the Vikings, as this team would love another shot at earning a trip to the Super Bowl when seeing how the NFC Championship ended on their end this past January. With all due respect to Keenum, Cousins is a much more talented quarterback that should benefit from all of the new weapons he gets to work with on offense, and if all goes as expected, Minnesota should have little trouble returning to the playoffs.
One of the main reasons why the Vikings were able to earn a trip to the NFC Championship was due to having one of the top overall teams in football since the defense was just as talented as the offense. As for the draft, now that Cousins has signed on with his hefty contract, it’s up to Minnesota to make sure he receives the best protection on a weekly basis, meaning the offensive line seems like a good way to go.
Between his quickness and blocking ability, Isaiah Wynn seems like the type of rookie Cousins would love to have the opportunity to work with. If his time at Georgia is any indication of what to expect, Wynn has a ton of potential to succeed in the NFL, no matter where he ends up.
