Oakland Raiders: 5 Sleepers to target in 2018 NFL Draft
How can the Oakland Raiders improve their roster in the 2018 NFL Draft? Check out these five sleepers prospects who would make a ton of sense in Oakland.
The Oakland Raiders have taken a new direction this offseason. It started with the hiring of head coach Jon Gruden, who the Raiders were able to entice out of the Monday Night Football booth with a massive 10-year, $100 million contract.
Gruden was a great coach who had a lot of success in the past, but it is difficult to predict how he will do going forward. He has obviously continued to be around the game, but how do we really know if Gruden is ready to be an NFL head coach again? Has he adapted to the modern game? The NFL is a lot different now than when Gruden was a star head coach. He knows that, but does he really know how to adapt?
The Oakland Raiders made some interesting additions this offseason and Gruden seems to be directing them towards a more traditional style of play. Instead of building a high-powered offense around Derek Carr, the Raiders appear to be building a power rushing based offensive attack.
Gruden seems to be taking it old school and it is undoubtedly an interesting strategy. The Oakland Raiders appear to be looking to zig while the other teams zag.
They will continue to overhaul their roster to fit Gruden’s style in the 2018 NFL Draft. The early rounds will obviously be the most important, but there is always value to be had in the later rounds. Which 2018 NFL Draft sleepers should the Oakland Raiders target? Let’s take a look.
