The Jacksonville Jaguars have the chance to select players in the 2018 NFL Draft who will help win the elusive Lombardi Trophy.

Jacksonville Jaguars fans are looking forward to the 2018 NFL Draft later this month. After coming so close, there is a good reason to envision a Super Bowl appearance soon. Which players will the Jaguars target in their seven draft picks?

Selecting the draft class is a very challenging thing. Hoping that the players contribute to Jacksonville’s success is all you can hope for. Dave Caldwell has drafted very well in his role as general manager.

Currently, there is no player left on the Jaguars roster from the 2013 draft class, Caldwell’s first draft. There are four starters from the 2014 draft. Telvin Smith, Blake Bortles, Marqise Lee, and Brandon Linder are major contributors to the team.

Five players, from the 2015 draft class, have contributed to building the Jaguars. Dante Fowler was the first pick. Ben Koyack has found a place in the offense.

Jalen Ramsey is taken in the first round of the 2016 draft.  Since Ramsey was such a great selection, Myles Jack and Yannick Ngakoue are selected in the following rounds. The Jaguars defensive foundation is set due to these great picks since 2014.

Six out of the seven draft picks, from last years draft, are on the roster. Leonard Fournette and Cam Robinson made the Jacksonville offense much better. Dede Westbrook played an important role in the passing game in the playoff run.

The Jaguars will unveil new uniforms on draft day. Apparently, the return of the black helmet is eminent. Here’s a new 7-round mock draft for the players that will don the new black helmet.
